About us
If you're looking for a new look in your kitchen, SKR are the people to call. We operate throughout the UK providing professional kitchen resprays.
Here at SKR we don't charge silly prices for our work. An average sized kitchen can cost as little as £700.
Being professional, apprentice-trained paint sprayers, we work quickly and efficiently. All of our work is done on-site, keeping cost and turnaround times down.
If any cabinet doors are rubbing against each other because they are badly fitted, please get these adjusted before your Respray. SKR cannot be held responsible for paint rubbing off due to poorly fitted doors.
Important information
We at SKR always strive to give the best service. However. To ensure our services are delivered as smoothly as possible. We adhere to the following:
- We aim to start each job at 8am, traffic depending of course. Can you please ensure we have access to your house? If you need to move cars please do so. Ideally we'd prefer to be able to park in your driveway to make access as easy as possible.
- In the cold weather months can you please ensure you leave your heating on 1 hour before your respray and 2 hours after? Doing so will help the paint cure.
- We also ask our customers to remove everything from cupboards and worktops, to remove handles and to clean units down with sugar soap for our arrival.
The cleaner the job, the better the finish!
Please be aware, we don't remove any White goods from kitchens. Although we mask them to a very high standard, we cannot guarantee a small amount of overspray will reach these goods. If this does happen, and we are unaware while we are at the property, you can purchase Cellulose Thinners, we will fully refund you the cost of this.
If your property is a flat/ apartment please inform us. If it is hard to access please inform us. If your kitchen flooring is carpet please inform us, this is all essential information we need to know prior to you respray.
It is not SKR's responsibility to remove any fixtures and fittings, this includes things like handles and light fittings. We ask for the customer to do this or an approved, qualified Electrician for any electrical works.
SKR are Professional Paint Sprayers only.
We cannot be held responsible for any cracks in the wood, especially on kitchens that are aged 20 to 30 years old. Wood is what it is, it shrinks, it expands and it cracks. Each kitchen is different.
After each Kitchen Respray we leave touch-up paint for the customers use. There maybe an instance for example, around the back of a wine rack, where the gun cannot reach, this is touched up either by us or the customer, if they are able to do this. We do leave touch up paint for the customers use.
Also it's a good idea for the customer to clean the kitchen before we arrive, the best thing to use is sugar soap, although a good clean with warm soapy water is sometimes good enough.
We recommend that you get any decorations or flooring after the respray. Although we mask to a very high standard it makes sense for all.
We respray all kitchens in-situ, it would cost thousands to remove and take your kitchen away.
Our method of kitchen respray paint on hinges, is deemed acceptable. To ensure the doors do not stick to the framework / edging, we place 1/4" tacks into doors overnight while the paint dries.
We use all different types of paints, depending on each kitchen, sometimes we use motor trade paints and materials. These are far superior to household paints. Although only single pac paints.
Why go through all the expense and hassle of buying a brand new kitchen when you can give your existing units a new lease of life by calling us? Get in touch today for a quote.
